Sabah group calls for tribunal over land dispute

KOTA KINABALU: A land tribunal is needed to hold enquiries on the perpetual disputes over land matters in the state, said the Sabah Law Association.

Association president Datuk John Sikayun said a tribunal was necessary to tackle disputes over land issues including the abuse of the “Power of Attorney” in some fraud cases.

On the suspension of the issuance of Anak Negeri Certificates (ANC), Sikayun said that the Government must act quickly over the suspension of such certificates as it would deny natives their constitutional rights. Read More
